i have been reading through topics trying to absorb some info, and came across the best thing for constpation is a squashed deshelled pea, now call me daft but is that fresh peas in a pod, boiled then taken from the pod and given or the actual pea inside that needs de shelling

I de-shell the pea, then de-skin the pea, then squish and give it to 'em :) My fish go nuts! My Betta re-enacts a shark attack.

I use frozen (thats the freshest you can get, unless picked from your own garden and used immediatly).

POP a couple in a cup of boiling water for a couple of min, the remover, de shell, and drop in (I don't smoosh mine), even the cories have a go in my tank.

The actual pea inside which needs deshelling, not just straight from the pod. But frozen are fine. It's not a miracle cure, it can help if things still aren't moving along after fasting the fish for a day or two.

ahhh ok thank you, will give it a go, must remember not to buy those teeny tiny peas in future
