Angelfish Eggs

My angelfish have just laid eggs
I can transfer the eggs in to a different tank, but not the parents as it will be in fry tank
The eggs will be in a breeder trap/net, the eggs have been laid on a plastic leaf
Any advice on how to care for them?
As some eggs will turn white, will i have to remove them myself?

Can't you leave them with the parents? If you do move them then you will probably need to place an air stone near by the eggs to replicate fanning carried out by the parents. Also, i have read that if fry are raised artificially from the start then they never experience any parental care so don't understand it fully... myth? I don't know but i would leave them with the parents for a few days. Angelfish fry are very hard to raise when with parents let alone when not.

If you are removing them, leave the eggs with the parents until they hatch. This ill give you the best survival rate by far. I only moved some yesterday to my fry tank.

Sorry should have said before
The angelfish are in a community tank, which has plecos, swordtails, platies etc in it
I could see what happens over the next few days, as i have seen them hold them off for up to a day before
At the moment no other fish is anywhere near them

You should have no problem with those fish until they are free swimming. They will easily keep away the platies ect.
Only one to be worried about is the pleco, what type is it? as my L264 sometimes get the eggs during the night.
But yh, i would leave them in with the parents until they hatch.

I have 2 L134 in with them, but they didn't eat the eggs last time.
Until they are free swimming? or wrigglers?
All the fish are being kept well away at the moment :lol:

The parents are doing well, fending of all other fish

They are also clearing the few white eggs, i have only seen 6 so far, may be more to come..

When would be the best time to remove the plastic leaf with the eggs on?
I'm going to leave them in there for a couple more days, so that the angels can look after them, but don't know when to take them out
It has to be before they are free swimming as i know they will be eaten in this communtiy tank
