Ok, what happens next is the other fish eat the eggs, you'll be dissapointed and hope you get another chance :P

Speak to Tolak give him a PM.

SJ2K did pretty much hit it, in a community tank they generally will get eaten in a few days. They spawn about every 7-14 days, if you are interested in raising angels you will need considerable tank space beyond what you have.

No positive advice then!!! this site is'nt what is was when I joined in 2006. Rant Over!!!
The eggs are still there. My angels were sucking them up which I thought was the end but they were moving them to another protected leaf in the tank. It's very intresting to watch. I have a nursery to put them in once they hatch and another small tank to put them in once they get a bit bigger. Should I get the leaf and put it in the nursery now??? or wait till they hatch????
My LFS said they would take them off my hands. I know I dont have lots of space but I'm willing to give them a chance in stead of just letting them die.
I can now see the egss wriggling alot. how long untill they hatch??

The advice was simple and honest, beating around the bush wont get us anywhere :) Im sure everyone wish's you the best of luck non the less.

The advice being??????????

the advice was as clearly stated by tolak:
"SJ2K did pretty much hit it, in a community tank they generally will get eaten in a few days. They spawn about every 7-14 days, if you are interested in raising angels you will need considerable tank space beyond what you have."

that is the advice that we can only giveto u unless seperate them, your fry will die either before free swimming or when they become as other fish will eat them straight away!

i think ur comment was very rude as people are trying to help you, !

I don't mean to upset anyone.... but people haven't anwsered the questions I have asked thats all. I'm trying to learn.

Your original question (What will happen in the next few days), is a tricky one to answer because going by odd's its likely the eggs wont survive :) If they do however then you'll need to seperate them (as mentioned by tolak).

If you'd like more specific information, feel free to ask more direct questions here or move on over to the SA cichlid section of the forum :)

There is alot of movement in the eggs now. Should I take the amazon sword leaf and put it in anursery now or let the parents tend to them untill they hatch?
Should any survive what measure would be needed to keep them alive?
I have a little nano tank as a short stay then my LFS will take them. How should I prepare the tank!

Hey I am no expert on this by far, however a week or more ago (sorry cant remember) i rescued some eggs from my community tank which I am 99.9 percent sure are angels, 0.1 poss are cory eggs, this is my first time so to speak, however,
I took them out of the main tank and put the leaf complete with eggs into a breeder trap with an airstone underneath.
2 days later they started to wriggle and then yesterday were almost free swimming and little sign of the egg / sac left.
I have come home tonight and they are completely free swimming, so all in all I would say has taken about 7-9 days .. sorry cant remember exactly. I have had 2 losses out of the fertilised eggs, which I dont think is bad going
Tonight I have started feeding on Liquifry no 1 , and have no 2, 3 and microworms ready.
I have not had prior experience but I hope that helps, and more importantly hope I am doing it right !!

Good Luck
Becks.

Ideally, this is what happens;

IF THE EGGS ARE FERTILE:
Day 0: Eggs spawned in streaks, are clear or translucent.
Day 1: Some infertile eggs turn white.
Day 2: More eggs turn white, wiggling tails emerge from clear eggs. Some white eggs may get fuzzy.
Day 3: Tadpole shape forms with large yolk sack, fry remain stuck to the slate.
Day 4: Small eyes form.
Day 5: Eyes grow large, yolk sack shrinks. Start brine shrimp hatchery.
Day 6: Some fry are free swimming.
Day 7: All free swimming, time to start feeding.

Freshly hatched baby brine shrimp are the best food to feed the first few weeks. Live micro food triggers feeding behavior, without this they usually won't eat. If something worked better I, along with a lot of other breeders would be using it.

A small spawn is around 200 fry, larger ones are 400+. I mentioned tank space, this is the standard stocking rate used by most all angel breeders;

Newly free swimming fry 40 fry per gallon
Two week old fry 20 fry per gallon
Month old fry 10 fry per gallon
Pea size bodies 3 fish per gallon
Dime size bodies 2 fish per gallon
Nickel size bodies 1 fish per gallon
Quarter size bodies 1 fish per 2 gallons
Silver Dollar size bodies 1 fish per 3 gallons
Potential breeders 1 fish per 5 gallons
Show Specimens 1 fish per 10 gallons
One breeding pair 20 gallon high tank

Most shops won't take angels until they are dime body size or better. Counting a group of fry is tricky, you can pretty much double what you count in a group, there are twice as many as you counted since they moved. The only way I ever came close to a count was to take a picture, blow it up, and mark them off as I counted them, ms paint is good for this.

cheers tolak that is the kind of info i'm after. Thanks for your time.
I'm considering getting another tank so watch this space. If it dosent turn out this time round i will be more prepared next time.

cheers Brads
