Anaconda In Venezuela.

Seven months, took six to get the 12 month visa, got my own apartment now and all the mod cons. Loving South America, I bet you can't wait to move over. Some things get a wee bit annoying but you just need to take them in your stride.

Love the photo's got a load of my own from Columbia and Venezuela, love the 'exotic' animals over here and still find it odd I've got a load of parrots living in the trees opposite me, they don't half make a racket at dawn and then at half three when they come back to the nests.

Haha mate in my mind iam there already,i hate my work here now,we have a nice house already which were renting out at present, lifes very different but i love it, we go every year for a months holiday and i hate returning, obviously life will be differnt to a holiday but we live the normal day to day life when were there, Only thing worrys me abit is the laungage but hey ho....its easy with colombia there very open with allowing entry, once there i will apply for my colombian passport then all's good

Oh yeah how do you find the fish shops out there,as in with equipment, i know fish are cheap as chips in colombia, once there i WILL go fishing for Pbass/wolf fish :shout: amounst others..oh yes...

Well I don't really know as I'm getting the aquarium as a surprise for the girlfriend, I know nothing or I did know nothing! I think the supply of parts is limited but seem to be good value when I check against prices in England and the States. They don't seem to bother with cycling and the water test kits are expensive and I still haven't found any means of testing for ammonia. The tanks are a lot cheaper I've ordered a 200 x 50 x 70 (l x w x h) and it's costing £120 (and that's a gringo price, sure you can knock off £20 or more for a local)

Same here with the visa if your married, but the immigration was after a bribe and seeing I had completed everything by the book I was standing my ground.

hehe cool, yeah there not up on cycling etc, iam sending a large shipment when we move, including all my filters and heaters, heaters for a discus tank, get tanks made to order once there, ive done my homework already..lol...discus are around 1pound each, oscars etc under 20p each then obviously free from rivers/lakes and water ditches..hehe

No but my filters are from germany and my inlaw is an absolute wizz with electics...he will change things for me so they work there, any mate off now as got work early,,,lol...take it easy :good:

awww man you two make me so jealous!! I wish I could just pluck fish from rivers haha.

With the cycling if you cant find a source of ammonia just do a controlled fish in cycle lots of water changes but see how it goes :/
