Amazing Video Of 2nd Largest Aquarium In The World!

Ok cool, I wasnt sure if anybody would encounter problems on the downloading side as I've never used that hosting company before and they are a free company meaning there will be some sort of bandwith / usage limits no doubt

Thanks Andy, Ill be installing that one!

Do those whale sharks look a little skinny to anyone - or just me?

I cant decide whether they would get more stimulation in a natural environment. These guys are from the open oceans, so maybe the bare tank is just as inspirational as they need.... Perhaps some seabirds or a few bit of floating debris could liven up their lives.

Installed and works perfectly. Thanks again, great effort!

Any chance you could explain how you did it? Would love to learn.....

The sharks also migrate for miles and miles and miles in the wild, they roam the ocean constantly

Though that can be said for most fish kept in home aquaria :/

i just think a fish that size doesnt belong in aquaria, still amazing to look at though.

OMG that is amazing!
Whilst i kinda don't agree with certain wild animals/mammals/fish being kept captive, When they are being hunted & killed then yes i do agree with them being in captive & hopefully bred to keep the species going.

Thanks for the link i keep watching it & shared it on my fb page :)

Of course zoddy

1. I used www.keepvid.com to download the video from youtube into a mp4 video file

2. I used a program called Ultra mp4 to swf Converter to convert the video to .swf format

3. I used a program called instantstorm 2.0 to make a screensaver from the .swf file

This was the final way of doing it, I tried 2 or 3 other ways first using many other different software programs and settings but always encountered problems of one sort or another, mainly video quality issues as swf files use different framerates etc to mp4 files. Anyway it only took about 6 hours to get it all right in the end

Glad you enjoy it as much as me anyway :good:

Wow !!! How big is the filtration on that? They must have a skimmer the size of a tower block.

thanks for the screen saver, using it now :)

Im using 2 screens and it would be awesome if it was higher quality and span across the 2 screens rather than the smae video on each. Obviously dont expect you to do anything about it, am very happy with it the way it is :D

Also AMAZING tank, wish it was in the UK :( :(

I dont think it would really be possible to get it any higher quality.

The problem is that the highest resolution that you can set for a swf file is 720x576 meaning the quality is limited.

I am looking around at other solutions as I would love to be able to get the screensaver in HD quality and if its possible I will work it out.

OMG :hyper: That is amazing.... would look good in my living room i think!

Did anyone notice the 2 scuba people cleaning the bottom? What a bum job that must be..... get all the way along the front and you have to start again!
