i made up some aluminium dividers for my tanks, now i have had them in there for around 2 weeks the aluminium starts to leave white spots of (aluminium) im guessing.... is aluminium safe for my fish tank?

Aluminium still corodes, I would take it out dude

the white spots are aluminium oxide (the equivilent of rust in iron/ steel products).
Go to the local hardware and get some perspex and use that instead.

lol this is a strange one. i was surprised to find that aluminium alloys, of whatever combination, show little or no pitting in sea-water immersion, freshwater immersion, exposure to tidal sea water, a tropical marine atmosphere, only in an inland tropical environment did it show real signs of pitting from corrosion. lol it seems the wrong way around. information published by the DTIC in the US

Likely a result of the acidic nature of the water.
