Algard Syphon Set

So, I bought an Algard syphon set today cos I was so sick of trying to get my cheap 'pump it up and down' p@h one working.

The Algard one had great reviews and said it could be used to put fresh water back in ... I thought "great, sounds good to me". So I've spent my £7-odd only to find it's not that much better than the cheap rubbish thing I had before.

It took me ages to work out how to get it going - and it doesn't help that it has no instructions beyond a 'how to' on putting it together.

I just wondered if anyone else on here has one and can offer me some advice on getting the silly thing working!

yes i think i got either the same or similar ones thinking the same but i don't see any difference in using that to using manual ones :'( was a waste of my money tbh I'm using my external filters now to pump water out just goat find a large enough bucket to put water in over night heat it up and de clorinate it then pump it back in using my filter I'm thinking on using a wheelie bin i have a 320L tank if that helps
