Is it harmful.. it has all of a sudden appeared whilst i am fishless cycling my tank with ammonia
:S

what should i do
Also aroudn the suction cups on the heater there is like furry white algae on the cups thickish texture.

And in my Small tank a mottled effect brown spots have appeared on my silk plants... all of a sudden and a few on the glass

What should i do about that 2

nothing, the 'white furry stuff' is good, its bio film and 100% normal, algae will thrive on the nutrients in the tank which again is a good sign, the algae will be worse if you provide light - to reduce algae you need to reduce light or get lots of live plants which will use the nutrients before the algae does. This is normal for a tank cycle, it is a good sign of life and a good indicator that things are going well.
