Algae in 10g

I had green dust algae in my 10g, I just got it off with my magnetic algae scraper, but it's been going on my plants. I got most off, but I dunno the cause.

There's your problem! Cut it down to 8...if it doesn't go after a week or so cut it down again

Agree with @CaptainBarnicles
Also be aware that your tank will be getting lots of daylight, as well.
Too much light causes excess algae, as does too much waste in the tank. Check both of these and the algae should reduce.
