Fish Herder
A while ago I asked if anyone thought my male Agassizi (Andre) would breed with a lone Cockatoo female - the answer was 'maybe' from most of you.
Well, I popped Ms Cockatoo in the tank with Andre this lunchtime and within 3 seconds they were giving each other the eye, within 10 seconds Andre was doing S shaped shimmies and fluttering his fins, and within 4 minutes they were shacked up in a cave together.
So I can't say yet whether they're gonna have babies, but they are certainly trying! I think they've been in with the livebearers too long! They were so funny to watch, I can't believe how fascinating and entrancing a bunch of fish are! I spend more time watching the fish now than I do watching TV - only rivalled by the amount of time on here reading/talking about fish!!
I wish I'd had the video camera ready, cos it was definitely love at first sight this lunchtime. I'll keep you all posted about any babies!
