hiya.. i'm newish to this so please be gentle..lol. i have a 200l tank with a fluval 305 sand substrate+plants, and i have added a wave maker 3000lph flow is great now..hehe.(it helps with poo pick-up too) i only have it turned on when the lights are on so the fish get a rest @ night. for me this is a good solution for the circulation because (imo) you're unable to limit flow @ night with filters. so ottos etc etc can do there thing.
