Aeration opinions please

Hi, I am in the latter stages of setting up my 240L Mbuna tank, it has two external Oase 350 filters and a Hygger 4 inch airstone hidden at the rear. The external filters do not cause a lot of surface agitation, which is why I included air. I have concerns however that the amount of bubbles in the tank in the daytime will spoil the viewing experience. I was wondering about having 12 hours of aeration overnight and then none in the daytime ? could I seek opinions please ?

It is but the filter flow currents fill the tank with the fine bubbles.

Can you not have the external returns flowing across the surface? Then you wouldn’t need additional aeration.

Lower the airflow rate with a gang valve

You could have the air pump on a timer to only run in the night, but as @Colin_T points out, in a back corner merely provides interest, but not distraction.

I'd add a wavemaker / circulationpump instead.
