when transfering betwwen 2 tanks of the same temp in my house?

surely it would be just like a large water change

yes i doubt it would do any harm. i give them about 2-3 mins to acclimatise between my tanks lol.

most of them are still alive to tell the tale

They should be both the same as they both have bogwood and plants no rock

If both tanks are regularly maintained, have similar parameters, and the water for both tanks is from the same source, there should be no need for acclimitisation.

Can't hurt to be safe though....................

When moving between tanks in my home, if they are the same temperature, they live in the net long enough to carry to the other tank. My tanks almost all get the same care and have very similar water in them.

Ive moved fish from tank to tank without bothering to acclimate, its net from one and plop into the next and I shall be doing so next week when new tank is set up, it will be the same temp, same ph so I see no problem.

Tolak is often throwing angel cichlid fry (which are more sensitive than most adult fish) between tanks of mildly different temperatures (1 or 2 degrees C) and different water change regimes with no ill effects.

Basically, so long as both tanks are in the same area for temperature and are water changed from teh same source once a week I wouldn't worry at all.

To the person mentioning pH, there is science pointing out that fish can probably handle two whole units of change on the pH scale with little problem provided that the hardness is similar. Almost anything which is attributed to being an issue with changes in pH may well actually be due to changes in hardness.
