Does anyone know if Auther.J.Bawers silver sand is safe for use in an aquarium? It says on the bag lime free and washed :S. has anyone used it before?

Any help is greatly recieved :)

I'm not sure what silver safe sand is, or familiar with the brand, but standard play sand is perfectly fine to use, and very cheap. About £4 per 15kg or something at Argos (or a Home Depot?) gives the tank a very natural look :) unless you are after the specific 'silver' colour?

not for a fish tank. though it will key any slabs or blocks you have on your driveway. and makes a good drainage base for gardening.
its a a bit too sharp of fishkeeping. though safe enough, in terms of content.

add another vote for PlaySand here! :good:
