Do they always stay underwater? Or should they also have a way to come out for a while too?
 
ADFs are completely aquatic...no need to come out of the water :)

Cool. I just bought one so I wanted to be sure lol. :thumbs:
 
I don't remember where I read it, but somewhere it said that they come out of the water occasionaly, but most of their time is spent in it. Mine spend some of their time floating at the surface, but mostly they kick around at the bottom. Just watch out with the hight of your tank. They might wear themselves out trying to get to the surface to breath if it's too tall.
