As you go farther and farther down a strain u do run across complications such as deformation, sterlity, and essentially fish that arnt too hardy. I have been extreamly lucky so far, but i will be adding a new stain after the fourth generation as i do not wish to ruin the whole project. Its just a matter of coming up with the right strain to add to mine, i did some serious hunting from one fish store to another to find the grandparents, but aquabid looks to be the easiest way to go about it
And in the main tank i have an alge eater who munches on it. I dont know about anyone else but i actually like the alge on my tanks, makes for a nice green background, just gotta scrape it off the front glass panel every once in a while. And iv gotta alot of airation so i dont gotta worry about the alge takeing up too much oxygen.
