what is that plant in the last 2 shots on this post? I don't think I've ever seen it- it is amazing!View attachment 336195
(wild caught discus in 40b during qt; they have been moved to a 180 last week but don't have a good picture yet; they are very tempremental. Today they were in a very good mood and displaying themselves but yesterday when workers came over they where in a very stress mood in the very back corner. No changes in the aquarium - but i guess they didn't like strangers in the house).

two different variance of crypt nurii rosen the first is 'pink' line the other is more common variety (it had no special name). I've not seen the pink line very often - i got it from someone in poland but he got out of plants and no longer has any. The non pink version is readily available pretty much anywhere just google crypt nurii rosen - there are two reliable sellers i know of one on etsy/ebay and one on scrapecrunch - burr40 - or you can wait 3 or 4 months and pm me and i should have a few then i can toss in the mail when the weather is more temperate. I'm about 4 hours from you....what is that plant in the last 2 shots on this post? I don't think I've ever seen it- it is amazing!
the hardness requirement might blow it for me, although I do have my tank with endlers and neocaridina harder with the Shrimp GH that i add there. It's only 10 gallons, though LOLtwo different variance of crypt nurii rosen the first is 'pink' line the other is more common variety (it had no special name). Hum there is a third plant in that picture under the pink line is a green plant with odd patches of orange is pahang. I don't see those very often for sale not that i'm buying any - nice plant but a bit different.
They require some water hardness - they will grow well in my tap which is kh 3 gh 6 tds 140 but not in super soft tank tds 10.

Over time they will take over the aquarium (non-co2 thought co2 will make them grow even faster). I just gave away something like 20 plants when i thinned them out - they are also getting quite large should probably post an updated picture because they have double in size.
I don't remember atlanta having super soft water but then again when i lived down there i didn't keep fishes just - well not much didn't even have a chair.the hardness requirement might blow it for me, although I do have my tank with endlers and neocaridina harder with the Shrimp GH that i add there. dekab county - did some work at emory for two years - hated atlanta left and never went back but for those two years atlanta rocked baseball and won the world series i believe - then i moved to boston a few years late and they won the world series.... i guess it was 95 they won. Maybe i should have stayed longerdepends on what you call "Atlanta"- further out can get harder- I know Gwinnett & Cobb counties have soft water. Not sure about Fulton (true Atlanta). Metro Atlanta covers dang near the whole mid- Northern chunk of the state now.
I love Atlanta, but I'm way biased. I've been here since 1973 except for 3 years in the Army. Grew up in DeKalb County (Stone Mt), went to Clarkston high school, and have lived in Gwinnett, Fulton and Cobb - currently Cobb. Right across the line from the city- all the location and a lot less taxesdekab county - did some work at emory for two years - hated atlanta left and never went back but for those two years atlanta rocked baseball and won the world series i believe - then i moved to boston a few years late and they won the world series.... i guess it was 95 they won. Well it is a life style thing - in Boston i spent nearly 20 years walking a minimum of 6 miles a day and in 'Atlanta' i spent all my time driving; 1/2 the time stuck in traffic when i wasn't near the university.I love Atlanta, but I'm way biased.
