I love Badis fish and I am always recommending them for other peoples small tanks but never kept them I wish I could set my 35 liter up to do so but Im not allowed

There is a gorgeous group in Titchfield Maidenhead Aquatics, which I saw yesterday, possibly with no male (all were rather pale, but perhaps they do not look that great in LFS?).

thanks, yes it is - of the pack of 4 badis he is the boss. when i got them i thought I had one male and three females as they were so pale but once they were in a quiet heavily planted tank and eating a mixed diet they all coloured up with bright reds and blues. Ive tried for an age to get hold of a lady but keep just getting another male in disguise!

i get mine from the same place online every time and they are always in top nick.
