9X2X2 Promised By The Wife.........

the wife wants a complete make over in the lounge and has her heart set on a corner sofa and moving the tele and getting a huge one.....

this keeps the biggest wall in the lounge free so i said "how about a huge tank along it" in jest as she normally goes off on one when i want a new tank

she said ok

without getting a build on site i can get a 9x2x2 in the space or maybe a 10x2x2

funny thing is that where she wants the new tele to go ive just today taken delivery of a new 5ft tank, thats fine she said it can go in the dining room

im not sure if there was something in the water or what but im now rubbing my hands together thinking of how to stock such a tank....

it will have to accomodate my ornatums and habitants of their tank but wow ill have loads of room left for more

thanks shelagh yeah i know it will cost me in the long run and probably very heavily but while shes in the good mood shes in im gonna grab the oportunity while its there.

not going to happen over night and plenty of mood changes will happen inbetween so fingers crossed it all goes ahead

the tank i got today is all set up but has a sticker saying not to use until the 15th ive taken the rest of the week off to get it set up and sorted in a very relaxed and steady manor but now i cant use it intil sunday

So does this mean Kieth and his tankmates will be coming out of the garage before next winter sets in (no doubt saving you a fortune in electric for maintaining ~26C) into this giant tank, or will this be an excuse to start a new community?

Not really, i wouldnt know what the hell to do with a 9 foot tank nor would i enjoy the costs of stocking it and decorating it!

I might step up to a 6 foot one at most but that wont be for a while.

for me its different horses for courses....

i used to want large tanks to keep the bigger fish. i in the end got fed up with the costs and maintenance so stepped down to a 190l corner tank.

I must say though when done right (as im sure mattlee is more than capable of doing) larger display dont half look cracking

so all i'll say is best of luck and look forward to the regular updates and pics
