Hi there

So, I have decided to overhaul the 75g (Yes, I too have the "never happy with the tank" Syndrome

Still going down the Planted root. However a few things will be changing, including lighting, CO2, Ferts.

This question is to determine if the substrate im going to use would provide a Healthy base for my plants.

Layer 1 - 0.5 " Eco Complete
Layer 2 - 0.5 " Laterite
Layer 3 - 0.1 " Cat Litter
Layer 4 - 2 " Unipac Super fine gravel (slightly bigger than sand, so will be easier for plant root growth :good:

Will this be a good way to go? will also e using DIY Root Tabs (Osmocote ice cubes)

CO2 and higher lighting will be added.
Tank set up will be:
4'x18" x 30"
330 Litres
3 x 39w T5 (6500k 7500k, 1800k)
FE Co2
2 x Tetratec EX1200
1 x 2000lph Powerhead (Turnover around 15x)
