i currently have a Uk 55g with 2 angels 5 bronze corys 2 bolivian rams 2 bn plecs 10 danios 5 serpae tetra and 2 kribs

would texas and aluncara be ok in there? i was gonna get a couple of convicts but read that they are a handful

Hi sorry but no a texas cichlid would annihilate that tank as would the aluncara. The aluncara is an african cichlid which usually means they need very specific needs and as a result need a tank more directed to them than just being added to a community tank. The texas just gets too big and aggressive for that mix of fish.

At present you have 6 cichlids in there and with the kribs in there if they start breeding you will run into issues they seem to be a lot more aggressive in a community set up compared to their south american alternatives.

I wouldnt add any more cichlids to this mix. - I also worry about the mix of angels and serpae tetras do the angles fins get nipped often|?

nope they have been together for nearly 2 months anow and the tetra keep to themselves no fin nipping nothing and if the kribs start to breed i have a breeding set up ready for them and the 2 rams will be going back in the other tank to clear the way
