Ok, vip told me that the following list is ok, but i wanted to change it a little bit.

His list:
severum,
blood parrot,
pictus cat,
firemouth,
2 bnoses.

I was wondering if I could switch the firemouth to another severum?

Thanks

I don't know much about these cichlids, i'll let Vip or Juan answer

But the pictus cats should be kept in groups of at least 3 in order for them to feel safe in the tank

I dont see why not you may even luck out and get a breeding pair, the only fly in the ointment as they say is that if you get 2 males they could end up fighting over territory but thats just how it goes with cichlids. definatly buy your fish from someone who knows them, and would be able to at least make an educated guess as to you getting a male and female sev.

I think the first list is better, 2 Blood Parrots might tend to fight. With the clowns im not to sure because i think they get large but im no expert on them.

Just my opinion...but clowns loaches can get to be 10-12" and really a 55g is just a little to small. IMO. Why not....

2 bp's
3-4 pictus cats
2 angels
and abnose or 2

It's completely up 2 you though :)

Ok, I was wondering if someone could think of a good combonation for me? The tank can't be bigger than 55.
This is a list of some fish that I like.

Bnoses,
blood parrots,
severums,
tinfoil barbs,
silver dollars,
balas?,
bnoses,
angels.

I'm thinkin the balas are too big. Any help is appreciated.

I'd say the balas and silver dollars are to big for a 55 as they are schooling fish and get quite large. Even the tinfoil barbs get big.

I think i should just go with the first list. Instead of pictus can I do polypterus senegalus (sen. bichir)?

Ok, for the final (hopefully) list.

blood parrot
green sev
2x bnoses
senegal bichir

Ebo jager 200 watt
light tba
2x AC300s
sand substrate?

edit: and AC402 powerhead
should i do reverse flow on it?
