55 Gallon Birthday Thread

Ok so i finally got a filter for my new 55 gallon and im going to start a journal.anyways the substrance is playsand and im getting some plants to fill the tank tommorow. ill try to upload some pics tonight and any suggestions on fish or plants will be helpfull.
 
PS. im getting an angel pair so consider that.

I have corkscrew val. It's really low maintenance. It grows runners, which grow more grass.

ok i got some anubis and amazon swords along with some driftwood, all in all cost me 38 $ pics coming soon.

Gee, I didn't know you can use playsand for an aquarium!  I'll have to try that especially that it's very cost efficient.  I was so tempted today to get a 55 gal because it's onsale at the petshop I like to shop at for $55.  I love the $1 a gal sale.

yea the 1 gallon sla eis very usefull, playsand is fine in homeaquaria and many use it bcause as you said its cost effcientcy.

OKAy update, i have a family of snails inhabiting my tank...  ive gotten anubis,fern, amazon swords and a monnywort. i will try to upload some pics of the tank and of the mama snail(if it is a woman) for ID.
