Upgrading from a 20 gallon long to a 55 gallon tank.
Hardscape: lava rock supported by plastic and slate substrate supports. Malaysian driftwood. CaribSea supernatural sand.
Substrate: thin layer of flourite beneath a 1 inch layer of floramax.
Additives: ADA bacter 100 and tourmaline bc
Plants: dwarf baby tears, green cabomba, rotala rotundifolia
Stocking: will be lots of danios, a few glass shrimp, and possibly some colorful raspboras or platys
Stand: diy cinderblock stand with boards and 2x4s for support. Draped with patterned sheet metal

That looks quite lovely! Are you going to be doing a background?
And I imagine you were just in the middle of filling up the tank but figured I'd ask why the water level is low :p

I plan on a sky blue background - having difficulty finding the right one.
Still planting so not done filling. :)

Ive been obsessing about this scape since watching the dream machine vids.
Do you think a diy posterboard sky background would work ?
Ive been experimenting with spraypaint and am pretty pleased with the practice pieces ive made

That looks very lovely! I don't see why it wouldn't work? The only issue I could see is if it gets wet.

I'll consult with the graphic designers at my job to see if they have any ideas.
