50/50 Lighting

I bought a PC canopy that was intended to be used on a Nano saltwater tank. But now I would like to do another planted tank but I cannot return the light fixutre. Would a 50/50 PC Bulb be fine to use for a planted tank? It is 65W over a 20 Gallon tank.
