Iv decided to get a new 4ft instead of using this one:
The main reason is the bracer bars. For some reason they have been set on the top of the tank not inside it, which makes the lid sit... wrong. It makes it difficult to get any condensation trays in there aswell, so im going to my LFS on pay day and getting them to build me a new 4ft with glass sliders and its only costing £73
The sand i have in this one will be going into my 3ft tank, its turned brown rather than the jet black i was hoping for so im going to use white sand in the 4ft. I will be adding some more bogwood along the back of the tanks and planting the lot with java moss and java ferns, making some sort of structure over some caves.
The tank will be used for Panda corys and some BN plecs, hopefully all fully breeding (Had 20 eggs in 1 night from pandas last night!!!!). Measurements will be 48" x 18" x 15", im hoping to build some sort of fry saver to the tanks side out of either glass or acrylic. Does anyone here have any tops on a decent fry saver? Im thinking something like this:
Fry saver
With its own sponge filter, maybe even 2 1 at each end of the tank.
Thanks for looking, sometimes its good to talk about plans that way people can point out any glaring mistakes you have made
