350 Gallon Tank

I agree with space monkey, pacus are not aggressive. Pacus are quite the oppostie of what many people think, they are indeed peaceful and tolerate all kinds of tankmates.

Planting your tank would be impossible with a pacu, they eat vegetation like it's going out of style, they're herbivores.

Also, pacus are a shoaling fish, they get skittish and very stressed when kept alone, it needs to be in a shoal of at least 3, 4 better.

Rays are very active, so they would be very nice in that tank. I dont think they would bury themselves much unless they are young, or for the first couple days when added to the tank. I would understand if you wouldnt want a ray because they are sensitive to changes in the water chemistry, but its not a good reason not to ge them if you dont think they will move. ive seen them in person, they move around alot.

I would not touch rays with a barge pole if only filtering a 350 with HOB filters. That size almost demands a sump.

I myself would leave it fairly open for aquascaping to make the most of the large fish. I doubt that plants would do great in a tank with such a large vegetarian as a pacu.

If it were my tank I would have ditched the FW fish and got some sharks and possibly a marine ray for it.

great tank, i can't wait to move to my onw house and get a bigger aquarium (at this moment the giggest one is only 160 lites)

i really like yours

Eeek.... yeah no rays with that filtration. I didnt really read his specs on the filtration. Sump would do wonders for that tan.

I intend to way understock the tank...in fact, I think I'm done already given the pacu may get too big even for this tank. The filtration is working fine so far, I just hope it can keep up with the pacu.

i would sell the pacu.its very hard for them alone and hard for filters.it would also give you alot more room for fish. electric JD

I just skimmed the thread and looked at the pics, but I agree with the statement about. I think the oscar should be left too. It looks good too!

My pacu seems very happy. I bought a big tank so I could have big fish...the pacu is one of my favorite fish, so I'm not getting rid of it anytime soon. But, if it gets too large, I'll rehome it or humanely dispose of it.

well thats entirely up to u.i dont really favor them.so what else u guuna get?

all that room for so little fish.. :/ What a waste.. total piranha tank if I had it.. or 30 some goldfish tank.. maybe discus or angel tank.. both! bunch of phantom or black shirt tetras!
