Hi Fish Keepers,
I'm currently fishless cycling my new 465L tank and have already gained some useful information from this great site. I used to keep tropical fish about 15 years ago until we moved house and we didn't have enough room for a tank. We've spent the last few weeks reading loads and re-familiarising ourselves before jumping in again. I have found that whilst the basics haven't really changed the tech certainly has.
I have set my heart on a predominately Amazon Discus based setup with a few compatible fish. So with the plants now selected and planted and the tank up to 29 degrees and the filtration on full steam ahead my next job is to plumb in the new RO unit as the tap water in Northamptonshire is so hard it comes out of the tap with rocks in it .
