I'm trying to decide what fish I want to put in my 29 gallon... Suggestions?
I am highly considering a rubber lip pleco... Think the tank is ok for one?
Other than that... I have no ideas. Lol.

Just wanting to check, are you cycling the tank?
What are the dimensions? A rubber lip, I'd think would be okay, sizewise, but I'm not sure if they need wood in their diet or not. Hopefully someone else can comment on that.
For the rest..are there any fish in particular that you've seen and like the look of? Something usually suggested is to go to your LFS and write down the fish you like, then come back here to see if they'd work for your tank. :)

Yes. And I've got driftwood soaking ina ten gallon. Trying to sink it. I have another tank with plecos. So I'm prepared for that. 30 1/4 X 12 1/2 X 18 3/4 inches are the dimensions. My problem is I like bottom feeders and like very few middle and top swimmers. Lol. I like the look of Oscars, but song have the space for that size fish.
And for the LFS... The closest store. We have with live fish is about a 45 minute drive from where I live... So I am trying to get an idea.I'm hoing to get to go tomorrow.

Hmmm. What about a rubber lip pleco, several kuhli loaches, and a couple dwarf gourami? Do the DG do better by themselves or in a small group?

As far as I can tell, that sounds lovely. :)
You could have a single DG or a trio, 1M:2F, someone else might be able to say if you could increase the females more so you have more activity in the upper levels.
Are you keen on the DG, or do you think you'd like honey gourami? I ask since a lot of DG seem to suffer from DG disease :(

I don't know much about them at all. Just like their looks and know they get a nice size for a 2$ gallon. Lol. I will have to read a little more about their diseases... I did see someone mention that before. I just wish I liked more middle and top swimmers!
29* gallon. Typos...

Then again... I might just scrap that idea and do a goldfish tank... I was really looking forward to the RL and Kuhlis..... Decisions decisions....

You can get the DG(s), just wanted you to know that sometimes people have troubles with the disease, it doesn't affect other fish, as far as I know.

When you say you were really looking forward to the RL and Kuhlis, what do you mean? You can still have them?

I'm wondering, could you order some fish online? What is your LFS, a chain store or like a fish-only place?

Perhaps you could do some micro fish, such as mosquito rasbora? They're quite lovely and they stay small so you could have quite a few I'd think.
Another fish you may be interested in, though not sure if you could get a hold of, is Spotted Blue-eyes (Pseudomugil Gertrudae), they're very pretty.

If you were to do a goldfish tank, you could only have one. 30g for the firsty fancy and 15g for each additional.

I just meant I had my heart set on a RL and kuhlis. I have wanted those for a while. I just don't know what I'm gunna do. Lol.

And the LFS is a chain. :( all of our local pet stores and fish stores go out of business.

If you have your heart set on them then get them, or are they not available at your LFS? :( Like said you could possibly order online

They carry them. Don't know if they have them in stock tho! I would just have to call. But I just don't know what I would put with them.

Have a google to look at some of these fish http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/418749-nano-fish/ maybe you'll like something off of there and hopefully your LFS carries it :)
I know your tank isn't a nano but there are some very pretty fish on this list and you can have more of them because of their small size. Just a thought.
