16 Year Old Adam's 300 Gallon Display Tank...

Hello everyone... Well, my tangs have been growing well in the 6 X 2 X 2 lately, and it's now time for an upgrade. Green light has been given - for the tank to be built after i finish my GCSE exams - (why am i on ultimate reef now when i should be revising! - shhh) Haha.

Anyway, i thought i would start with some info of what the tank will be, as its all part of the fun!

L X W X H
90" X 28" X 30" Main tank
60" X 24" X 18" (12" water level) Sump tank

Giving me a total volume of around 375 gallons / 1500 litres before displacemet.

Planned Equipment

To be honest, it will probably change, some of the stuff i already have though, as you will see, i'm a Deltec kind of guy!

1 X Deltec AP703 Skimmer
2 X Deltec HLP 4040 Return Pumps
1 X Deltec FR616 Fluidized Reactor running Phospate Remover
1 X Deltec FR509 Fluidized Reactor running Carbon
1 X Deltec NRP512 Nirate Reactor
1 X Deltec Auto Top Up unit
1 X Deltec 39W UV Sterilizer
2 X Vortech MP40W Circulation Pumps
1 X Triple Arcadia Series 3/4 3 X 250W Lights
Possibly a Deltec Ca reactor depending on whether or not i go down the balling route or not.

Decided to oversize on most of the equiptment as i want to have a few good sized tangs in the tank, so a heavy bioload.

Comments appreciated, hoping to make this a great tank, lots of tangs and hopefully heavily stocked SPS reef.

I'd give the Arcadia halides pendants a miss personally, far from reliable. AquaOne, Silversun, Deltec (you'll be pleased to know ) and Giesmann all do good halide units Lots of people running Arcadia halides have balast issues fairly early in their life. Save yourself some trouble

1 X Deltec AP 703 skimmer
1 X 616 Fluidized Reactor
1 X HLP 4040 pump

Well my skimmers here, as seen as theres no pics yet, i thought i would show you one of the AP 703 in contrast to the 6 X 2 X 2 ! This thing is big! :

The equiptment ive collected so far:

1 X Deltec FR 616 Fluidized Reactor (for phos remover)
1 X Deltec HLP 4040 Return pump.
