It's about 35cm deep at each side
Any ideas?

I think the tank is really to small for rainbows or angels. You could take a look at the pinned article in the beginner section called Recommendation for a 10G. I know your tank is a little bigger, but I would stick with small fish - you can add more and it will make the tank look bigger.

I was thinking ADF's and something else or maybe even terrapins or similar?

I would think terrapins get a bit big for a 13 gal...

How's about converting it into a terrarium, keeping some crested geckos?

ooh could I? sounds good, what about the lid situation though, how tight does it need to be, it's just a plastic sit on

The lid shouldn't be a problem, seeming as they aren't all too strong.Just make sure they can't get right up to the light. ( also, you may need a different lighting system for geckos...I'm not sure what spectrums your current light emits) Here are some good places for info and products. I've been thinking about setting up another gecko society...I've got a few terrariums laying around :D.

I just realised no way am I having insects in my house :/

You don't need to feed them insects, a diet solely on Repashy food will suffice.

Feeding insects is only used as a dietary enrichment. If you feed them properly I.E a mix of different Repashy foods and treats, then there isn't a need to feed them any crickets or such.

Ahh ok never heard of repashy thanks!

I think I want a leopard gecko now but omg at the insects
I will be going to lps tomorrow morning to have a nose, they have a fab selection

Leopard geckos are fairly easy to care for...But I'm not sure if there is a staple food to feed them.... I only fed mine gut-loaded crickets...So you may be out of luck....

They are however...much easier to care for than Cresties. Though, whichever way you go, please let me know I can help you out along the way. I've kept reptiles my whole life, you name a type, and odds are I've had one in my possession at one point in time...
