So I just impulse bought a Aquanano 25 (12L 25cmx25cmx25cm) because I thought it would look nice in my bedroom and to use it as a lamp.

Anyway I know you can keep shrimp in these sort of tanks, but is there anything else you can keep?
Like a betta? A Dwarf Puffer or 2?

I've got sand substrate, live plants and the filter is really good. It's got more media than my 120L. lol

Anyway, I know this tank size is limiting but I thought I'd just ask anyway. :)

Thanks all. :good:

shrimp and snails??

A stand alone shrimp colony can be great, they can also make you some money. :good:

I imagine some people will say put a betta in there, but I think these fish deserve all the space they can get.

Go for lots of moss and start with a few cherry shrimp, then flog them to LFS as they multiply.

Not all shrimps breed like billy-oh, but cherries certainly do!

Cherry shrimp definitely do.

If you get hold of some orange ones and just breed those, you'll sell them for even more than cherries. And they're essentially the same thing, just a different colour!

But if you mix colour strains they'll probably just turn out grey...

Haha, I think I'll give it a go. So, just so I don't overstock, how many can be kept in my tank? :)

Black and White shrimp sell bloomin well in shops :) they are kinda cool too!

Shrimp are great.
I have cherries, black cherries, some orange shrimp, & now some crystal reds.
The cherries breed like nobody's business, the orange are a bit harder I've found

I upgraded to a 22L instead so I can have more shrimp. :p

But coloured shrimp (excluding cherry) are more expensive than a betta! :S

Might go for a mix up of shrimp if I can save.

If you have a Maidenhead near you, they sometimes get crystal reds in at a decent price.
I just got a couple, waiting for them to get more in
