I was thinking

6 cardinals
6 pygmy cory's
3 honey gourami's
2 apple snails
10 cherry shrimp
10 striped algea shrimp
3 female platies
5 rummy nose tetras

what else i like small peacful fish

I think thats fully stocked maybe a bit over

How about:

8x Cardinal tetras (the bigger the group the better)
5x Corydoras (the larger species will be suitable)
2x Honey gouramis (quite easy to sex and they do best in pairs)
3x Platies
10x Cherry shrimp
The snails (be careful though, they can breed like wildfire!)
4x Small barbs (Cherrys, Pentazonas etc)

hi Jazz, without wanting to sound mean or nasty i would say nothing.. not just yet anyway, you have had a few problems with your fish latley, and i think you would be better off reading up on fishie illnesses before you go heading in for more heartbreak again, you kept saying you were going to buy a test kit and im not sure you ever got round to it, but thats besides the point ,to me it seems pointless that your wasting your money and your fish like this without finding out just what happened to the others, i know the last lot of deaths (25) was an accident,so look at ways to make sure this wont happen again, stock up on meds, tests, and knowledge, make sure you have every base covered so that nothing like you have been going thru happens again,or if it does your in a position to deal with it fast.
please dont take what im saying the wrong way, but it must be awful to keep losing fish the way you are,and without a testing kit,you wont begin to understand why, there is tonnes and tonnes of info on here and other websites, sometimes its better to take a step back, take it from one who knows from personal experience ;)

good luck jazz

The fish deaths were only in 2 tanks one of which is now totaly stable and has showed no sign of ilness in month

the other the with minnows in was fine also till the cold snap theyoneow seems to have tiny white spots on its fins and body so i will start with the medication on them tonight.

I presume the illness is due to being left week after the cold

allready put the treatment in we used to get it a fair bit in the fantail goldfish tank many years ago before i knew anything about stocking 3 fancy fish in a 10gal -_- :(
