I have a 36 gallon tank with one molly ( I had problems with ich and the first medication I tried seemed to have no affect and I changed my water often but it was not to any affect) any way the one molly that survived was apparently pregnant. It gave birth but only 2 fry were alive the rest...
I used bacterial starter that even stated that it allowed for the instant addition of fish but I waited 2 days after I added it to get some fish and I didn't add the fish all at once. Thanks for your concern though and Happy Fish Keeping to you as well
Also my BST seem very well tempered, they haven’t nipped at the other fish from what I have seen and I have seen other accounts on other websites saying black skirt tetras work with angelfish. The tetras all swim around the tank and don’t school unless I have to put my hand in the tank to catch...
Ok just to let you know I bought all the black skirt tetras my local pet store had at the time. Because of the cold winter they have stopped getting a lot of their fish and I think your right about the cherry barbs so I will stay clear of those.
Where did you get your Betta from? He might have been ill when you bought him. But I would try changing the water and let him do his own thing for a few hours and then check on him and don’t be afraid to buy the right medication or chemicals if he dose have fin rot.
So I got a 36 gallon for Christmas. I have cycled it and have an Aquaclear 50 and a fluval 150 watt heater running on it. I currently have 5 black skirt tetras, 1 dwarf gourami, and 4 creamsicle mollies. I am planning on getting 2 angelfish ( probably both male), a school of 8 sterbai corys...
I can’t find the ph but I found out that my water hardness is 4. It would probably be a 20 high but I haven’t set anything up yet so a 20 long is a possibility and i was talking about celestial pearl danios if that changes anything. Because what I found online states that a 10 gallon is the...
So I am currently thinking of setting up a 20 gallon community tank with 1 honey gourami, 7 neon or green neon tetras and 6 corys. Do you guys think I can add 4 pearl danios or have any other stocking ideas plz let me know. Thanks
No I don’t think guppies would work they get decently large, and neons need to school I wouldn’t buy less than 6 of them so I also don’t think you could put 6 neons in a 1.5 gallon. if you wanted to keep guppies and neons together I think maybe 2-3 guppies and 6 neons in a 10 gallon would work
Byron we just have different views on the recommended amount of corys and that is ok let’s just stop arguing. I get that you think your right but from what I have seen you just say that I am misinformed and then say I am a bad aquarist. If you could link me to that study then we could learn from...
Byron I don’t intend to keep arguing with you but if you continue to argue with me I will. Corydoras school in the wild to protect themselves from bigger fish, if there are no bigger fish in the aquarium to threaten them they do not need to school in large numbers and the rule of 6 Corys as a...
