Hi peeps newbie here....
Been popping in this forum a while now, have to give mass credit to you all  for the good and valued advice you all give.
From all your experiences i have successfully managed to cycle (fishless) my 20g tank and add 6 Zebra Danios.......

Now the crap part.........1 of them appeared to have a faded, almost white'ish patch on the lower part of its stomach, well that was yesterday. today it has turned red...... :/........is something wrong? What could it be? is it an injury?

They all seem to be pretty happy, inc old patchy :D they race about like nutters and swim at each other, but as im aware thats quite normal playful behaviour! and also establishing a Hierarchy thing!

Levels are good! Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 40. will check again tonight.
Is it worth doing a partcial water change?

Questions, questions eh

Would much appreciate some more of your advice.

Cheers

it does sound like an injury, however it could also be an ulcer.
Is there anything sharp in the tank?
do you have melafix?
30-40% water change now, treat with melafix and raise the temp to 82f/28c.
This will help with the healing and the melafix will prevent a secondary infection.

Good luck

No nothing sharp in there.
Ill get some melafix, do the change and see how it goes.
im sure ill call on your needs if things start turning sour!!

 thanks Wolf

I hope it isn't the dreaded septicemia as that can show itself in red patches.

hmmm yeah did think that initially after reading a few other threads.
suppose just wait and see how adding the melafix goes!!
