I've been on a hunt for the perfect fish to fit my extra tank come August.
I have an 8 Gallon that I was planning to house a few guppies, I figured that I don't want guppies, and now I'm thinking of a Male Halfmoon Betta with 2 Platies. Any problems with that? Your opinions.

The betta will be fine, but not with platies.

1 x betta, maybe some shrimp or pygmy corydoras.

how about a dwarf puffer tank instead

also, like minx said, platies cant go, and the idea of shrimp or pygmy cories is a great idea!
