Young Male Fighter Fins

Hi all, my approx 6 month old male fighting fish has developed a split perfectly in the middle of his tail fin and also the same on his top fin.

Justo curious to see if anyone else has experienced this, the splits are to perfectly placed to be a disease/ wound.

I can't get a decent picture or I would post one

It may seem too well placed, but believe me it could very possibly be a fungal infection, if not a tear. Any ornaments in your tank?

Only bogwood and live plants on another note his fins have been growing longer lately he was bought as a female hes had the slits about 2 weeks nothings changed expect his fins getting longer

Also hes gained more color and become brighter

Any pics?  That would make it alot easier to tell if it looks like something you should be truely worried about .
