You Think This Will Work?

This is fun to imagine. I was a little woried about aeration in some of the ones that look like they wouldn't have much air exposure, but maybe you'd pump bubbles in from the bottom?
There was a tank at Petsmart at least a couple years ago, that I saw on clearance because it was being discontinued or something, and once I decided I wanted it, they only had the display model left, which was not for sale. They called it "illusion", and it was basically like 1 tank inside another. I think they had a littler fire bellied toad in the middle and some small fish around the edges. I've been thinking about doning something like that for a long time. I could probably put my 2 1/2 g inside a 10g, but I think I'd have to have water in the middle tank or both unless I glue it down so it won't float. I was thinking of maybe trying to figure out a way to get hermit crabs or bettas in next to some guppies or neons that way, but before I tried it I needed to use my last 10g for cory fry and then new fishes and frog, aqnd this was the tank I took the goldfish out of the day before I went camping because i found a small leak near the top, and didn't wqant to come home and find them on the floor. i thought it would end up as a terrarium.
I have fantisized about habitrail type tunnels all over my room with all kinds of rodents, or maybe reptiles/amphibians. at least that wouldn't be as heavey without the water. Then again sometimes I have weird dreams where my fishies won't stay in the tank and they swim all over the place in the air. :hyper: :fish: :D :fish: :look: :fish: :fish: :mama: :fish: :zz :S

There is no such thing as clear PVC, PVC is white, now they make acrylic piping, this is what you may want to look for unfortunatly it is very expensive stuff.

I've had an idea like this for ages, but a little bit different.

I've always wanted to connect an outdoor pond to an indoor pond or large tank so that my livebearers could swim back and forth during the summer, but I could close it off during the winter (remove water from tube so heat isn't all sucked outside) so they would live solely in the tank during the winter.

I will make an attempt at this someday, unfortunately I live in a condo now so am not allowed to dig a pond.

PS Writing this made me wonder; Do you guys have condos over in Great Britain? Do you all call them condos? Just curious.

yeah, I also have had an indoor / outdoor pond idea for a while. I like to draw imaginary houseplans for fun, and sometimes I have a pond in a green house that looks like a tank from the living room. We also have this really ugly uninsulated room built by the former owners where the back porch used to be, that my mom would kind of like to turn into a sunroom or use part of the space to enlarge the kitchen if she had the resources and all, and I've been digging a hole for a possible pond close enough to the outside of that room, that I wondered if I could make a tunnel into the room from the pond. I also wanted to put my cockatiels in there, but I don't have them yet either. I also thought about building a tank outside a bedroom window right near where my guppies happen to be, but I wasn't exactly planning on it, partly because it might get a litttle too much sun.
