Hey mate did you get you tank moved ok. Will see pics after when I get to computer but I'm on my phone ATM. Not too sure if the tanks rabbut moved and broke were of bad quality or what but the many I have moved at home and in shop up to 5x2x2 with many men helping due to sheer size and it won't be a problem if you have a good quality stand. Latest I moved on my own was my 24g nano and had no problem and it has been moved many times through house moves.

Can't wait to get home and see these pics matey good luck with the marines remember when lookin for advice people will tell you different things so collect opinions and see what what suggestion comes out best

yes they are mushrooms, just angle the powerhead at them for a few seconds, it is probably sand or they could be sheding.

Don't forget you already have a fair amount of cuc in there

ps what are your nitrite and nitrate readings?

I have not moved the tank back as if I do I wont be able to open the lid fully so I have left it how it is. My dad doesnt like it sticking out, but hey.. its my room!


- Seffie, I will do the nitrate and nitrite readings now, hopefully they will be easier as the ammonia was abit of a guess next to the color chart! I think with CUC im going to get an emerald and properly 3-4 red legged and maybe 4-5 different snails like 2 nass etc. And leave it at that, I will do the readings now and get back to you.

Just waiting for the readings to develop. I can only do ammonia and nitrite, as the Nitrate bottle number #3 gives out like a tap! Im only ment to put 3 drips on, so I need to sort somthing out because when I tip it, loads of it comes out not in drops.

Nitrite: 0.1 if not 0

I 95% certain the color of the water accords with the color chart. However, do you think them readings are highly unlikely seffie?
If so, I think I might need to invest in a new test kit.

Nope, not unlikely at all - I would expect a mini cycle

Just make sure you have 25 litres of salty stuff available for a quick water change if needed
