This new scallop is doing SO much better than the first one! I know for sure it wasnt my water that made the old scallop sick.

This scallop is so much more active than it was in the LFS's tank. It's pulsating like crazy these days (you can see the blue in the pics), and eating happily. It almost 'begs' for the food when it senses it, opening wide and letting me stick the injector in its mouth. He did not close until it knew the injector was out. I swear, this animal has intelligence!

Ok, now to the questions about it..

When it pulsates, does it mean its 'hunting' for food? The pulsating did not lessen after i fed it. After reading that scallops often die of starvation, Im feeding it every other day to make sure it doesnt starve.

Also, the shrimp clipped one or two of its tenticles. Does it grow back over time?

I would feed it daily. The tenticles should grow back. Also i hope you are keeping a close watch on calcium and alk, these are also requirements that need to be kept perfect for the animal to thrive.
