I've got a 10 gallon set up and ready for fish. :kana: I've decided to go with Killis, one male and two females...probably Yellow Panchax, as they are the only kind I can get around here (unless I order online). I would also like to add a few cory cats. But I wanted to know if I should worry about the Killis eating the corys...I know they have voracious appetites, and I'm a bit worried that the corys will become lunch.

Thanks in advance guys!

I'll take the risk and say there shouldn't be a problem with having either in your tank, as they inhabit different levels of the tank so aren't in direct competition to each other.

Thats exactly what I was thinking, kribsinvcrib. I just didn't want to take any chances, hope I'm right, and then look in the tank one morning to find fat happy Killis and no corys. I would feel so horrible if that happened.

ya, just get a little surface vegitation and the killies won't even bother going below the middle, if that far even.

Wonderful news! Thanks everyone. The Killis that are at my lfs are pretty small yet...the males are probably only about an inch and a half long. They also have full grown corys (that I believe are either julii or trilineatus, not sure) so the corys will actually be bigger than the Killis when I first buy them. And if they don't get along? Well, I can always put the corys in a different tank...I've got plenty of room.

Once again, thanks very much to all who responded! :kana:
