Yellow-tailed Died...

Unfortunately, one of my two yellow tail spiny eels died, and yes it was the one with the crooked back. Im actually quite dissapointed, it seemed like he was doing so well, he was allways active, dispite his back, and still ate, so its pretty dissapointing...
Im not quite sure what to do with the tank. Im either going to change the substrate of the planted tank to sand, and move all inhabitants (the ottos and halfbeaks are going to go in there anyway) into my planted tank, and start afresh with some interesting catfish or similar, or just keep the two eels, and add a couple of extra things (any ideas???).

Yeah it is, would have been glad of it to happen when his back first went crooked, but I though he was doing so well...
