Would You Trust This?

he does have more fry, i spoke to him not so long ago and he had about 50-60 left, it doesn't excuse the fact that the first lot were sent the way they was and ended up how it did, and also the amount of time it took to send replacements either. but im glad you have them now and im sure you would get at least a couple of pairs out of what you have! be pretty unlucky not to.
four of mine are now about 3" and the other 5 ( as the cutteri pair killed 1 of them!) are a little over 1" which is a big size difference, don't know why that is?!?!
anyway, i was feeding mine mostly bloodworm to start with but they didn't seem to grow very fast, but they have shot up in size and become far more colourful since i started feeding tetra prima, i would recommend you feed this to yours to see best results. mine also go crazy for krill!
good luck and i hope they all do well!!

I'm feeding 4 times a day at the mo and doing 50% (50 gallon a day)water changes daily (mainly because of that disaster)

I'm feeding Crushed flake, Hikari Cichlid Gold sinking and blood worm.

Gonna start cutting the w/c down to 10% daily after this weekend.

My Tapajo fry that i have in my sig are not in the tank yet so they pretty much have 100g to themselves (other than the Blue Acara and Ram juvi)running 2 externals, 2 heaters, powerhead, full bubble wall etc so they have a perfect tank to grow quickly in right now which is cool :)

Isn't it funny how people say German Blue Rams are weak, my ram and my Blue Acara where the sole survivors of my tank disaster which took out adult fish!!! lol

Lost 4 of the tiny ones so far (the 1cm guys) hopefully the remaining 8 will be ok, they seem to be eating and stuff, and my 2 juvi Notatus have accepted them and swimming around with them now.

I'm happy to hear you got them. Hope they do ok I'm sure you will get some good ones out of here.

Just read the thread for the first time, bit of a roller coaster that. It does sound like the guy should have been a bit more straight up with you and let you know more fry would be coming but weren't big enough just yet...

Here's hoping the remaining 8 all come through for you!

Do you know they are definately Rotkeils?

There are pics of the parents in the first post which look like the real deal (right colouration), but with what Glenbo has gone through with the seller there's no real way to know for sure until they get bigger I would imagine :) Did the new batch of juvis definitely come from the same parents?

I assume they are because they do have that 'yellow' tinge that only Rotkeils get when little, Appendiculatus are more of a metallic look, Notatus have the blatent spots when the bars fade and greens look similar but very different at the same time.

Also from speaking to him lots the only fish he has is his wild caught Rotkeils, a few of there offspring and in another tank a flowerhorn and red texas.

Fricken' white spot is back with a vengeance, down to 8 Rotkeil baby's now with 1 looking to be on his way out, the rest are eating well despite being covered in white spot, started treating the tank again yesterday.

the 2 Notatus are fine tho :S

Hi Just read this after I have started thinking about ordering some fish from online. So sorry to hear about your problems! Ho many survived in the end and have you got a recent photo?
