Would You Buy?

I have the chance to purchase a 55 gallon tank and stand( really, really cheap). Has everything except fish. The tank is in full operation. Seller got bored after several years. If I purchase the tank, Any suggestions?

If it doesnt leak buy it!!!!
Specially if you say its really really cheap.

If it's in full operation at the moment, any leaks will be apparent. All but a few of my tanks are used, had a couple of leakers with tanks that were heavily used in breeding setups, it was probably 1 out of 10.

Mines a used too...go for it if its cheap enough what do you have to loose....before you bring it in and risk a flood you can always put it in the garden/yard and fill it with water if your concerned about leaks etc.

I bought a used 40 gallon long from a closing pet store >12 years ago, and have had no problems with it.

Well it ended up being an 29 gal long. After much work it is up and runing. I have never seen a tank that nasty :sick:

. Just going to wait a few weeks before placing fish in there. Hey but it was cheap and just alot of elbow work. But it looks like I got a good deal....... :hyper:
