Would This Possibly Work?

I have a 6ft 2ft 2ft tank with community (angels, keyholes corys ect) do you think it would work if input a pair of convicts in?

If i am correct, the convicts will nip the fins of the angels. I had a convict in with my male betta and i came home one day to find his fins missing, i know it wasnt the other fish because it didnt happen until i put the convict in.
 
My betta is now on the mend and his fins are growing back, but will never be as pretty
