Would This Be Overstocking?

Well i'm sorry about that but I have two options and can't take any of them.
1) Put them in my mams friends pond (Apparently they can't live in ponds).
2) Put them in my brothers 15G tank (He doesn't like them and says they spoil his tank because they are dozy).
Pft, they are in the biggest tank I have atm and I wasn't even considering getting a 10G Freshwater setup for months to come. The only way I could get around it is my giving them to my LFS, or do you think there is any other way I could do this?

Wow, I'm definately not as savvy as other people in catching your sig and what you already had like other people on here.

But I definatey agree with OohFeeshy! If you have small tanks, you should get fish that would be appropriate for those tanks. :grr: Return the black moores and loach back to the LFS for credit.

Not really, nope. Perhaps buy a large foodsafe container, a filter and keep them in there.... Or see if anyone near you can take them.

Add up what you were planning to spend on the new small tank, equipment & fish.
~Instead buy just a 3' tank & glass top - just the glass box - and use your existing filter for now. everything else can be upgraded later.
Or study the secondhand market -bargains can be found.

diademhill, its not the price i'm worried about mate, its the space, if I had enough space i'd have a 4ft tank by now, you can get cheap tanks in the yellow paper. Nobody near me would have a big enough tank, the person over the road has 3 common goldfish in a little water feature in her garden so shes crossed off the list. I'd take them to the LFS but my mam says 'there fine in there for now', you see people i'm 13 and I don't make all the decisions, and I can't get round to her without her saying 'they seem happy enough in there' so please don't think i'm cruel as I don't really have a say, and they are my mams fish.

Neal - if they are your Mam's fish -& Mothers day approaches why not get crafting ( or should that be crafty?) & make her a bouquet of fancy goldfish for a present?

you make the fish by making the bodies from torn up Paper & pva adesive moulded around balloons blown up to the size of tennis & cricket balls. Cut paper fins & stick them on. add any details -scales, eyes etc & paint them in goldfish colours.
Use a plant cane for the stalk and these can look great arranged in a vase B)
Black moors can get at least as big as cricket bals :sly:

Showing her how big they get might have tipped her thinking. Try making the fish on sticks anyway - might be fun :hey:
You need to find them a bigger home - either at your house or somewhere else. They are not going to thrive in the tiny thing they are in now.
Could you fit a two foot tank? A fat two footer of 90 litres would do & there are some nice ones for about £100 which I know sounds a lot but I got my Aqua one 620 for £30 secondhand - would something like that be within reach?
Sue

I'd have to convince my mam to put it downstairs first, i'd probably just give them away though to a good home, if I can find one. I'll keep my eye open for the time being, but my mam is really annoying when it comes to fish and thinks she knows everything about them, but actually only knows how to feed them tbh, and still she feeds them too much!
Neal

(I'd love to have an Aqua one 620 with FW fish in, atm i've got a 2.5G Aqua One. I think it's called the Aqua One 15 or 25. Can't remember!)

what it sounds like to me, by reading other posts you have made neal is 1. you are asking questions, but have no intention on taking any of the advice offered, 2. you really didn't research or think about your fishes health before you decided to overcrowd your tank, and 3. did i mention that you could careless what advice is given? neal, if you don't want the advice or can't do what you can to rectify a situation, then don't even bring it up, it just makes you look very stubborn and down right cruel, that's my 2 cents...
