Would An Angelfish Be Compatible With This Community Stock List?

x5 Hi fin black tetras
x5 Red Minor tetras
x6 Small zebra danios
x2 Giant danios
x2 Opaline gouramis
x1 Blue gourami
x6 Gold Barbs
x1 Dojo Loach


The tank is moderately planted and cycled and peaceful. Would an angelfish happily coexist with these occupants and vice versa? Or, looking at the stock list, and I overstocked to begin with?

I haven't had them but i don't think angelfish and barbs are suppost to be kept together as barbs are fin nippers.

Personally, I would say no as Barbs would most likely pester it and the end result would not be good.

The golden barbs are supposed to be less aggressive than other such as tiger barbs. Also if the barbs are kept in a group then the aggression is kept between themselves more often than not. The Angel fish when fully grown will be a fair size so bare that in mind.

+1 I havent owned any, But have read they can be, And have seen it in a LFS.

i have kept Angels and tiger barbs for years.. even with wild cought black barbs.. find no problam..

just make sure Angel fish is in good size... and at least 7 barbs.

I have kept them both together but haven't done since it was suggested to me to split them. I'm sure some will say yes, they have but that doesn't mean to say its correct.
