whats everyone think the worst part of setting up a tank? from my experiences since im a visual guy is getting the decor they way u want it, this part to me is usually a total nightmare cuz i end up switching it around a bunch of times b4 i am finally happy. after work i have been looking at pics of tanks to see how i am gonna set up my next bc i cant just go in and buy rocks and wood and set it up and be happy with it hahaha

i am the same way the worst part for me would be the decor i look at other peoples tanks on here and omg it makes me jelous  ....... becuase i acually can never get the decor to the way i want it to look :X ... so both my tanks right now are just satisfactory...... :) that and my lfs around here never have the decor i want. ........ frustrated now lol

id say the worst parts picking fish while the tank cycles!
i am sorting out my tank got it how i want it,
and know i have skipped from stocking german blue rams, to gouramis, and very nearly got a betta instead.....
still gotta say the tank is bare!

Moving it!!! I am so worris i will smash it!!!! :fun:

waiting for the tank to cycle, its so annoying lol, looking at an empty tank

I second cleaning the sand/gravel. Seems like it takes several dozen rinses per bucket to get anything clean.

Close behind is trying to get new bogwood to friggin sink.

i think it's a combination of all three. cost, waiting for the tank to cycle and getting the tank set up with the right decor and fish. thats four :dunno:

Got to be cost first and foremost. After that it is choosing which fish to put in the tank.

Cycling is not a problem as i do fully planted tanks from the word go and stock slowly.

Cleaning sand, spending hours with my hands in freezing buckets of water swirling sand around is not my idea of having fun.
