Hi

I'm currently on day 3 of my 10 day work experience at ------------- (have an educated guess). There's plenty of rumours and storys about the quality of care, so aswell as enjoying my time there, i could have an insight of the care given (in one store at least). I'll give you the facts and let you make your own mind up.
- I fish out about 10 dead fish everyday.
- Small animals are quarantined for at least 2 days, and there's a seperate sick room.
- Each ill animal has its' own notes, with medicine/care needed given daily.
- Bedding is replaced every few days.
- Every animal is fed and watered daily.
- Hamsters/gerbils are kept solo or in groups up to 6 in a standard sized cage when in the quarantine room.
- About 2/5 fish sales are refused for lack of knowledge/ preperation.
It's also generally quite clean. So, so far so good, I'll keep you posted

10 fish a day doesn't look great but at least it sounds like they are trying to care for the animals.

ten fish a day in a store that might have hundreds in stock isnt that bad. If you think about it some of the fish in those tanks are horribly overstocked, no business could afford to have a single tank house 8-10 fish they would go out of business
