Wolf Fish

i saw a baby wolf fish at the LFS today and wanna get him really bad...what size tank do i need for him? how fast do they grow?

You need a big tank mate, depending on the type.
I'd say at least 4ft minimum for the small type.
Very aggressive and predatory, not for the average aquarists.

not particularly active though so can be kept in a smaller tank, definately a species tank and will resemble a piece of wood in the tank although I do agree they do look pretty cool

Yeah I think they good but the prices for them are what put me off.
The only tank mates I could think of would be equally aggressive cichilds.

he is one of the smaller species and they are asking $30 for him...i payed 30 each for my red bellies
